Nelson, age 76, wife of the late Randolph Nelson of 1002 McCalla Park Road, Lowndesville, SC died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at the Self Regional Medical Center, Greenwood, SC.Born in Lowndesville, SC on April 16, 1929, Mrs. Nelson was the daughter of the late Bessie Dixon Morrow and Cape Morrow. She was retired from Iva Manufacturing Company and a member of Lowndesville Baptist Church.Surviving are her daughters, Sue Simpson and her husband Fred Simpson, Jr. of Starr; Vivian Latham and her husband Charles Latham of Iva; stepdaughters, Josephine Kelley and her husband Donnie Kelley of Iva, Glenda Bailey and her husband Joe Bailey of Lincolnton, GA; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Morrow of Anderson; sisters, Maggie Chastain of Anderson and Willie Mae James of Lowndesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, the late John and Roy Morrow and a sister, the late Louise Hill.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Friday, September 9, 2005 at Lowndesville Baptist Church with the Reverends Fred Griggs and Jones Brewer officiating.
