The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARYEVA WELCHAugust 24, 1912 - July 2, 2011Anderson, SC ' Eva Ruth Welch, age 98, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Hartwell, GA on August 24, 1912 to the late John and Ola Evans Swilling, Mrs. Welch retired from Abney Mills with 35 years of service. She was a member of the Salvation Army Home League and was of the Pentecostal Faith.Survivors include her son, Ronnie Welch and his wife, Evelyn, of Anderson; her daughter, Dodie Crowe and her husband, Maynard, of Anderson; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Welch was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Welch; a son, Jerry Welch; and one great granddaughter, Megan Crowe; four brothers, Robert, Ed, Looney, and Barney Swilling; and two sisters, L.E. Bowen and Mert Cryder.The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 4, 2011 in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Harrell officiating.
