Born in Anderson, SC, on May 6, 1932, she was a daughter of Reverend William and Nora Smith. She retired from Wamsutta, Inc.She was predeceased by her loving husband, Johnny Lee Gentry; a son, Johnny Lee Gentry, Jr.; and a grandson, Johnny Lee Gentry, III; three brothers: William, Buford, and Roy Smith; and two sisters: Pauline Paxton and Lady McGuire.Survivors include her two sons: Mike and William Gentry; daughter, Lisa Gaines; three sisters: Margaret Tollison, Frances Medlin, and Irene Martin; one brother, Melvin Smith. She was also blessed with five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Belmont Church of God of Prophecy conducted by the Reverend Alan Rhodes, the Reverend Scott Neal, and the Reverend Danny Driver. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6 pm until 8 pm on Monday, August 10, 2009.
