Evelyn Gutcheus Anderson, SC Evelyn Victoria Habermann Gutcheus, widow of George Alfred Gutcheus, age 95, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at NHC of Anderson. Born in West New York, NJ on November 11, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Isabella Noble Habermann and the late Michael Habermann. She earned a degree from Douglas College. Evelyn was of the Protestant Faith. She is survived by her children, George M. Gutcheus and his wife Deborah, of Anderson and Barbara Piercy and her husband Melvin, of Worcester, NY; a sister, Audrey Roberts, of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Michael and Melvin Piercy; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Habermann Jr. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to station 6 at NHC of Anderson and to Cinda of Caris Hospice for the love and care shown to Evelyn during her time of residence.
