Evelyn Ladd Nixon, age 91, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her home.

Born July 30, 1934, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Murphy Ladd and Lily Ann Padgett Ladd. She was married to Herbert Harrison Nixon until his death in 1974. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Joe Nixon and Tony Nixon; brother, William Ansel Ladd; and sisters, Frances Craft and Christine Ruth Ladd.

Evelyn was a graduate of Girls High and was retired from Winn Dixie. She was a volunteer at AnMed for over 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and visiting new places. She was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the Golden Agers and Helping Hands ministry.

She is survived by her children, Janis Edwards, Rondal Nixon, Teresa Lee, and Tammy Snyder (Brian); grandchildren, Nick Edwards, Craig Lee, Justin Snyder, and Kristen Snyder; and 6 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Dr. Brent Lollis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 pm.
