'Doc' Shaw of 923 Travis Road, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at her residence.Born in Anderson, SC on December 25, 1936, Mrs. Shaw was a daughter of the late James Paul Anderson and Aretta Blume Anderson. She was a homemaker, member of the V.F.W. Post #5996 Auxiliary and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband of the home; daughters, Debbie Vickery of Iva, SC, Sherry Strickland of Anderson, SC and Pam Stansell of Iva, SC; son, Archie Brian Shaw of the home; brothers, James, Roy, Charles and Harold Anderson, all of Anderson, SC; sister, Ruth Paul of Anderson, SC; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, a daughter, Susan Shaw preceded her in death.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Chaplain Garnet Hanley. Interment will follow in The Belton Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
