Evelyn Alice Tilley Stone went to be with her heavenly family on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late William D. Tilley and the late Odessa Willis Tilley. She retired from Scott Manufacturing after many years of service. She was a member of Landmark Freewill Baptist Church. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Crumley and her husband Larry, of Anderson, SC; her granddaughters, Wendy Hunter, Angela Lowe and her husband Sterling, Kelly Luper and her husband Brad, and Lari Vipperman and her husband Danny; eight great-grandchildren, Jennifer Gurley and her husband Chris, Whitney Hunter, Reid Johnson, Blake Lowe, Kevin Luper, Carson Luper, Nathan Vipperman, and Colby Vipperman; and two great-great grandchildren, Bryson and Caleb Gurley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rogers Stone; a son, Ronnie R. Tilley; sisters, Thelma Vassar, Rosa Nell Hilton, Virginia Dunn; and a brother, Lollis Tilley. The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Reverend Ed Hunsinger officiating. The family will be at the home of her daughter, 801 W.
