Everett Clyde Cox, Jr., age 73, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House. He was married for 45 years to Patricia A. "Patty" Cox until her death in July 2018. He and Patty are now together, free from all their pain, ailments, and exhaustion. He was born April 30, 1949, in Woodruff, SC, and was a son of the late Everett C. Cox, Sr. and Elizabeth Smith Cox. Everett was a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned his Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn A. Cox; brother, Joseph S. Cox (Karen); sisters, Gwendolyn C. Rankin (Homer) and Ann C. Moore (the late Rick); and many beloved nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces. A time of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm in the Chapel.
