Fannie Sentrelle "Cindy" Chambers, age 91, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Iva Post-Acute. Born March 23, 1931, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Ashworth and Mae Keys Ashworth. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and word puzzles, especially word find games, and time with her pet turtle Myrtle. Most importantly, she loved the Lord, attending church as long as her health allowed. She was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Eddie Ferguson (Debra), and Terry Ferguson (Kathy); daughter, Sandra Fuller (Vic); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Chambers; first husband, James E. Ferguson; son, Dale McAbee (Donna); twin-sister, Latrelle Burdette; sisters, Ginnie Bell Gaines and Lila Mae Scoggins; brothers, Austin, Ernest, Berry, Walt, and Carlton Ashworth; and dear friend, Harold Bowen. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Travis Bryant officiating. The family will be at their respective homes.
