Surrounded by her loving family, Fannie Nora Reeves Gaines, 90, of Anderson, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at NHC of Anderson. Born July 13, 1928 in Liberty, SC she was the daughter of the late James Arthur Reeves and the late Margie Jane McDonald Reeves. She was the devoted and loving wife of Rev. Jimmie Creighton Gaines, for 67 years, until his death in 2016. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill Reeves. Fannie was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and attended the Joyful Servants Sunday school class. She was the loving mother to her children, Richard Gaines (Shirley), Cynthia Callahan (Gene) and Terry Gaines (Jamie) all of Anderson, SC; brother, Donald Reeves (Jean) of Liberty, SC; grandchildren, Zach Gaines (Nikki) of Waynesville, NC and Lataya Adams of Anderson, SC; and three great-grandchildren, Jazmone, Cameron and Ashia. The celebration of Mrs. Gaines life will be held at 11:00am Monday, July 23, 2018 at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Turner, Rev. Dave Neal and Dr. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home.
