FANNIE LEWIS
Fannie Mae Davis Lewis, age 92, of Anderson, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, upon her death at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born on April 30, 1922 in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jessie L. Davis and the late Lucille Haynie Davis. For sixty-two years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Leard Lewis until his death in 1999. Mrs. Lewis was retired as a weaver at LaFrance Industries where she was employed for over twenty years. She was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Preston Lewis (Nancy); a son-in-law Hugh Isbell; two sisters, Margaret Richardson and Rachael Floyd; a special friend, Leona Cloar, three grandchildren, Ronnie Isbell (Susan), Randy Isbell (Jane) and Ricky Isbell (Janice); also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Leard, Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Lewis Isbell; three brothers, Robert, Junior and Clayton Davis; and two sisters, Gladys Sammons and Eunice Stancil.
A Cryptside Service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Furman Martin officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends following the service at Forest Lawn.
