Mrs. Fay Wiles Daniel, 87, of 109 Charping Road, Iva, SC died on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. She was born on September 8th, 1928 in Iva, SC to the late W.C "Clem" and Icey Lee Ozmint Wiles. Mrs. Daniel was very involved in the Iva Community as a Cub Scout Den Mother and the Two Year Old Sunday School Class Teacher at Union Baptist Church for 54 years where graham crackers were her trademark. The Daniel residence was a place for gathering of unorganized backyard events such as fireworks, basketball, softball, where she was often the pitcher and the "SFL" (Sunday Football League). She was well appreciated for the refreshments that she often provided during whatever event took place. Mrs. Daniel is survived by her husband of 66 years Clinton G. Daniel; two sons: Billy Thomas Daniel and wife Cindy of Iva, SC and Horace Grady Daniel and wife Susan of Greenwood, SC; two brothers: Jack Leroy Wiles, Sr. and Joseph Edgar Wiles both of Iva, SC; two sisters: Helen W. Thomas of Iva, SC and Patsy Jane Temple of Abbeville, SC; five grandchildren: Lisa Daniel Payne and husband David, Blake Thomas Daniel and wife Haley, Allison Daniel Hammett and husband Ben, Brett Daniel Hubbard and husband Spencer, and Brooke Daniel; and four great grandsons: Jace Daniel, Jackson Payne, Cooper Daniel, and Grayson Hammett. Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: W. C. "Junior" Wiles, Jr., Norris V. Wiles, Neal Wiles, and two infant siblings. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 18th, 2015 at 3:00pm at Union Baptist Church in Iva, SC with the Rev. Mike McMillion officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The Daniel family will receive friends from 2-3:00pm at the church on Friday, December 18th, 2015 prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence.
