TRAMMELLSEPTEMBER 10, 1923 - March 5, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Fay Hendrix Trammell, age 85, resident of National Health Care Center in Anderson, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009.Born in Greer, SC on September 10, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Tom Weymon Hendrix and Florence Hendrix Hendrix. She was a 1940 graduate of Girls' High School. For many years, she was the Office Manager for Anderson Concrete Company and for years was the Office Manager at Trammell Construction Company. Prior to declining health, she was an active member of the Altrusa Club and the Anderson Business and Professional Women's Club. While a member of Young Memorial A.R.P. Church, she was a Choir member and active within the Women's Circle.Survivors include her brother, Donald H. Hendrix and wife, Libby Hendrix of Anderson; a sister-in-law, Jean Hendrix of Anderson; and her nieces and nephews ' many of which were named 'grandchildren': Tracey H. Ramsey, Donald W. Hendrix, Gene Hendrix, Stephanie F. Simmons, and Joe Frank Floyd.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Carol Ruth Hendrix Floyd; and two brothers: Emmet Gene Hendrix and Thomas Earl Hendrix ' who was killed during World War II.A Graveside Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend Dr. Dennis R. Tedder. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Young Memorial A.R.P.
