Fay Allen Vanadore, 87 of Starr, SC passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born December 25, 1934, in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of the late Grady Allen and Mabel Hembree Allen. She retired from AnMed Health Medical Center and FCX and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Joe R. "Bobby" Vanadore; sisters, Imogene Allen Bouchillon, sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Allen and Mary Ann Allen and granddaughter, Laura Debruhl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ligon Vanadore; brothers, Broadus Harold Allen, Francis Benson Allen, Willie Fred Allen and sister-in-law, Betty Floyd Allen. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Pickens officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Memorial Gardens, Starr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 105 Unity Church Road, Starr, SC 29684.
