Anderson, 73, of Anderson, SC, wife of Randall Anderson, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, April 13, 2008.Born in Eastanollee, GA on December 28, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Macy Kay Gibby. She retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with a service record of 33 years, and was a member and past President of the Ladies Retiree Club. She was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Randall Anderson of the home; son, Bev Anderson of Anderson, SC; daughter, Melody Simpson and husband, Chip of Iva, SC; grandchildren include: Melida Reeves and husband, Steve, Kristen Purdy and husband, Nathan, all of Anderson, SC, Travis Anderson and wife, Kim of Hartsville, SC and Justin Brown of Iva, SC; great-grandchildren include: Madeline and Barrett Reeves and Lily Purdy, all of Anderson, SC; sisters include: Maye Bennett of Anderson, SC, Sara Ayers of Eastanollee, GA and brother Elgan Gibby, of Toccoa, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Chris Anderson and sisters, Ila Isbell, Edna Stowe, Velma Franklin, Agnes Floyd and Hazel Anderson.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
