Faye Bowman Anderson, SC Mary Ophelia "Faye" Jones Bowman, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at her daughter's residence. Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Clarence Jones and the late Agnes Allen Jones. Faye was formerly employed with Abney Mills at the Toxaway Plant. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities, but what brought her the greatest joy was her family. She was of Church of God faith. She is survived by her children, Timothy Ray Bowman and his wife Deborah, of Iva, SC, Phyllis McClure and her husband Billy, of Anderson, SC and Susan Brown and her husband Duane, of Iva, SC; sisters, Betty Anderson and her husband James, and Dorothy Kirby, both of Anderson, SC; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Billy Ray Bowman; an infant son, Tony Bowman; two sisters, Ruby McCurley and Mattie Dean; and an infant sister, Margaret Jones. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Susan Brown, 401 Old Lowndesville Highway, Iva, SC 29655, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, prior to the service, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
