Margie Faye Vaughn Holcombe, age 85, of Iva, SC, passed away Sunday, January 23 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born June 2, 1936, in Elbert County, GA, she was the daughter of the late David and Ruby Caudell Vaughn. She was married to Joe J. Holcombe until his death in July 2021. Faye retired from the AnMed business office after 28 years. She was a member of Carswell Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Randall Holcombe (Brenda) of Sylva, NC; daughter, Debbie Phillips (Ronnie) of Iva, SC; granddaughter, Brittany Thornberry (Austin) of Anderson, SC; great grandchildren, Austin Joseph and Alyssa Faye Thornberry; and sister, Claudia Rowland of Hartwell, GA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Roger Vaughn. The family will receive friends Friday, January 28, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Carswell Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Hudson White and Rev. Harold Walters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carswell Baptist Church, 4301 Flat Rock Rd., Iva, SC 29655.
