River Street, wife of the late Glenn W. Massey, Sr., died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at her residence.Born in Summerville, GA on October 1, 1915, Mrs. Massey was a daughter of the late Mark Moon and Kate Moon Watson. She was a retired business owner having owned the Massey Motel in Anderson. She was a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church in Summerville, GA and had lived in Anderson with her daughter, Glenda Massey Dyar for the past ten years.Survivors include a son, Glenn W. Massey, Jr., of Anderson; daughters, Laverne Kinard Webb of Vienna, GA and Glenda Massey Dyar and her husband, Ray of the home with her three grandchildren, Ray, Elizabeth, and Melody Dyar. Mrs.Massey is also survived by seven other grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and loving friends, Willie and Estelle Marshall of Anderson.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Brown.A Graveside Service was held on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 4:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Mr. Ricky Smith.
