Floree Izora Saxon Shinall, age 82, resident of Willow Creek Nursing Center in Iva, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Greenville, SC, on July 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John H. Saxon and Dora Bell Saxon Barkley. Mrs. Shinall retired from the textiles industry and was an avid bingo player. She was of the Holiness faith.Survivors include her children and their spouses: Dianne Allen & Ronnie of Anderson, Peggy Sue Bannister and Ray of Iva, Martha Latham & Steve of Westminster, and Leonard Shinall and Peggy of Anderson; one sister, Abby Williams of Anderson; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Shinall; a son, Donnie Ray Shinall; two sisters, Leona Hagood and Dorothy Wiles; and two brothers, William Saxon and Odis Saxon.The Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Monday, November 16, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Jerry Nation.
