Florence Fields Clark, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home. Born in Anderson, SC on March 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Willie A. Fields and the late Evelyn Campbell Fields. She was affectionately known by everyone as "Mim" She enjoyed many things, including quilting, raising farm animals, and cooking, but her greatest joy was taking care of everyone. She loved her family and treated everyone who came in contact with her as if they were one of her own. She was a charter member of Asaville Baptist Church. Mim will be remembered by her friends, her community, and her family. She is survived by her loving children, Chris Clark (Lynn), of Anderson, SC, Ricky Clark, of Edgefield, SC, Connie Simpson (Dale), of Abbeville, SC, and Anne Alexander of Anderson, SC; a brother, O'dell Fields, of Iva, SC; two sisters, Nadine Purdy, of Iva, SC, and Johnnie Blackwell, of Anderson, SC; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Clark; a son, Roger Clark; three brothers, Furman, Marshall, and Billy Fields; and a sister, Louise Ferguson. The family will receive friends at Asaville Baptist Church on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service to honor and celebrate Mrs. Clark's life beginning at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Harold Walters will officiate.
