FLORENCE L. COLLINS TOCCOA, GA Florence Collins, age 90, of Toccoa, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Cliff Jordan and the late Pearlee Gambrell Booth. She retired from textiles after many years of service. Florence was an avid gardener and enjoyed her flowers. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Emory W. Collins, of Toccoa, GA; sons, Jim Brown (Pam) and Phil Brown (Becky), both of Iva, SC, daughters, Margie B. Swaney (Charles), of Pendleton, SC, Lois Williamson (Hurshall), of Starr, SC, Aileen Kay (Buddy), of Anderson, SC, Jean Kilgore of Anderson and Ann Moore of Anderson, SC; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two son-in-laws, Claude Kilgore and Bobby Moore. The Graveside Service will be held at Iva City Cemetery on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
