Floyd Burns Pitts, age 85, of Belton, SC, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Clemson Heritage Senior Living, Clemson, SC. Born March 4, 1938, in Toccoa, GA, he was a son of the late James Oscar Pitts and Montiree Wilbanks Pitts. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Farris Alford Pitts and Lamar Pitts; and a sister, Mildred Lurlene Bennett. Floyd retired from Delta Woodside in 2001, having always worked in textiles. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and doing yardwork with his wife, Louise. If you saw him working in the yard, you also saw Louise. His life revolved around his family and his love for them was immeasurable. They brought him great happiness and joy. He is survived by his wife, Louise Allen Pitts ; son, Roger Dale Pitts (Paula); daughter, Judy Pitts Hall (James); sisters, Lillie Mae Worley and Lillian Allen; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm in the Chapel with Pastor Steve Hardy officiating.
