Floyd Gibson Speraw, 81, of Anderson, went to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Born July 22, 1937 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Clifford Edward and Eleanor Kniesley Speraw. He was also preceded in death by his son, Scott G. Speraw. He retired from NCR Corp. and continued contract engineer work in NC, TN and IN. He was an inventor and proudly held 29 patents. He taught and mentored at Haven of Rest, Men's Training Center, Freedom Fellowship of Anderson and prison ministry. Floyd leaves behind his wife, Roberta "Bobbi" Baker Speraw of the home; daughter, Stacy Keese (Michael) of Lexington, SC; sister, Rita Hollinger (Gene) of Ohio and two grandchildren, Tim Keese (Jayla) of Lexington, SC and Josh Keese of Duncan, SC and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Freedom Center with Pastor Phil Sears and Pastor Brad Bien-Aime officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 pm Saturday at Woodridge Memorial Park, Lexington, SC with Rev. Ray Hewitt officiating at the gravesite.
