Barrett, died Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson County on December 7, 1920, Mrs. Barrett was the daughter of the late John R. Smith and Georgia James Stalnaker Smith. She was retired from Clark-Schwebel. She was a member of North Anderson Baptist Church and a member of the Sunday School class.She is survived by a son, John R. Barrett and his wife, Gail Barrett of Anderson, SC; daughter, Rita Barrett Thompson and her husband, Larry Thompson of Anderson, SC; two granddaughters, Sommer T. Mosteller and her husband, Douglas Mosteller, III and Anna Barrett Spraker and her husband, Josh Spraker and two great-grandchildren, Douglas Mosteller, IV and AnnaLeeza Mosteller. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson, SC officiated the Reverends Bill Rigsby, Sam Duncan and Wade Rogers.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her son, John R. Barrett, 215 Richard Street, Iva, SC and the home of her granddaughter, Sommer Mosteller, 3412 Midway Road, Anderson, SC.
