BURNSAUGUST 31, 1928 - OctoBER 6, 2007FAIR PLAY, SCMrs. Frances Sullivan Burns, age 79, of 236 Clearwater Shores Road went home to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, October 6, 2007 surrounded by her loving family.Born in Anderson County on August 31, 1928, she was a daughter of the late James Alton Sullivan and Opal Stone Sullivan. She retired from a career in textiles at West Point Stevens Plant and was a member of Bountyland Church of God.Mrs. Burns is survived by two sons: Jerry Burns and wife, Linda of Seneca and Jimmy Burns of Fair Play; grandchildren: Terri Cook of Fair Play, Jason Burns of Seneca, and Tina Burns of Mammoth Lakes, Calif.; two great grandchildren: David Burns of Fair Play and Carrie Cook of Michigan; sister, Lucille Whitten of Fair Play; brothers, Joe Sullivan of Fair Play and James Sullivan of Williamston. Also surviving are two special family members, Evelyn Sullivan and Kathy Burns.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her husband, Garrison Burns; a grandchild, Tracy Burns; a brother, Junior Sullivan; and sisters: Ruth Cobb, Louise Roach, and Rachel King.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Bountyland Church of God conducted by the Reverend Ed Brewer, the Reverend Tony Edwards, and the Reverend Alvin Wilson. Interment will follow in Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
