Charping, of 202 Beverly Lane, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Hospice House.Born in Elbert County, GA, Mrs. Charping was a daughter of the late George T. Atkins and Margaret V. Greenway Atkins. She was retired from Clark Schwebel after 18 years of service and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Leroy A. Charping of the home; her daughters, Sharon D. King and Eva Marie Bearden; stepson, Larry D. Charping, all of Anderson; brothers, James Morris Atkins of Starr, SC and Charles Edward Atkins of Anderson, and her sister, Judy Benson of Anderson. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two stepsons, Leroy A. Charping, Jr. and John A. (Pete) Charping.The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 4:00 pm officiated by the Reverend Sam Chasteen and the Reverend Ray Thompson.
