Frances Barrett Stones Cordery Anderson, SC Frances Lois Barrett Stones Cordery, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Emeritus at Anderson Place. Born in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Barrett and the late Ethel Darnell Barrett. She was a graduate of Forrest College in Anderson. Frances worked as a Trust Officer with the First National Bank of SC, now known as Wells Fargo. She was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Cordery; her children, Reverend Stan Stones and his wife Rhonda of Hardeeville, SC and Pam Stones Crowe and her husband Reverend Julien Crowe, of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Martha Jean Barrett Knox, of Laurens, SC and Rita Barrett Hall, of Mauldin, SC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Stones; a granddaughter, Nicole Brooks-Cruz; and five brothers and three sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, prior to the service on Friday, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
