Frances Olivia Thrasher Couch, age 96, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at her son's residence in North Carolina. Born August 5, 1924, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin Thrasher and Lula Patterson Thrasher. She was married for 56 years to John Edgar Couch until his death in 2004. Frances was an avid walker for over 20 years and would walk 4 to 5 miles each day. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Philip Couch (Susan) of Pinehurst, NC; daughter Janice Cooper of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Millie Daniel Tate of Anderson; and grandchildren, Brandon Couch and Aimee McIntosh (Darren); and great grandson, Liam McIntosh. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
