FRANCES C. DAVIS Frances Louise Clinkscales Davis, age 84, of 1510 Old Trail Drive, entered her Heavenly Home at her residence on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, with her beloved family by her side. Born in Iva on June 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James Clyde Clinkscales and the late Mary Brown Clinkscales. For 63 years she was the loving and devoted wife of Alfred Davis of the residence. Mrs. Davis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed baking, especially cakes, for family, friends and church functions as long as health permitted. Frances was a member of the First Assembly of God, Iva. In addition to her husband, Alfred, she is survived by a daughter, Helen Davis of Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Gilliam, Tonya Davis, Terry Dyar, Jerry Dyar (Tina) and Jeffrey Davis; also surviving are 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tony Davis; daughter-in-law, Joyce Davis; brothers Elbert, Paul, and Tommy Clinkscales; and sisters Myrtle McClain, Georgia Loftis, Ethel Woodruff, and Ann Richards. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Davis will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, Iva, with Rev. Shane Duncan officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
