FRANCES FOSSUM April 8, 1928 - September 5, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Mary Frances McClain Fossum, age 84, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at NHC of Anderson. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late James Cornelius McClain and the late Sarah Elizabeth Sanders McClain. Frances was a 1945 graduate of Girls High. She was a lifetime member and Past President of VFW Auxillary and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Hamby, Marlane Barnette, Pat Brown and Cathy Monroe, all of Anderson; a brother, James Clayton McClain of Rabon Gap, GA; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Fossum; and their son, Loren Fossum. The Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Benjamin Smoak officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will gather for a time of visitation following the service.
