During her career, she was a nurse in San Diego, CA, and Fairfax, VA. She was also a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. Mrs. Gulbrandson was an avid bridge player and a master gardener.Survivors include her husband, Charles Richard Gulbrandson of the home; sons: Michael Eric Gulbrandson and wife, Irma of Baxley, GA, and Patrick Allen Gulbrandson and wife, Tina of Kensington, MD. Her grandchildren also survive her: Erica, Ivie, Anel, Francisco,Olga and Michelle.In addition to her parents, a son, Charles Richard Gulbrandson, predeceased her.A Memorial Mass will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church celebrated by Father Hayden F. Vaverek. The family will receive friends at the Church immediately following the service.
