Hanks, died August 29, 2007 at her residence. Born in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of the late James William Snow Brown and Fannie Lee Ethel Morris Brown. She was a retired textile worker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. Surviving are her children, Bobby Hanks and his wife Hazel of Atlanta, GA, Harold Hanks and his wife Bonnie of Anderson, Randolph Hanks and his wife Pat of Iva, and Fran Allen and her husband Terry of Iva; three brothers, James Brown of Spartanburg, and Arthur and John Brown, both of Anderson; two sisters, Beatrice Budzash of Cliffwood Beach, NJ and Mildred Austin of Lakeland, FL; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Columbus Brown, a sister Bonnie Gaye, and a granddaughter, Judy Hanks Goode. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Temple in Iva with the Reverend Phil Hall and Reverend Terry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Iva City Cemetery. Mrs. Hanks will be placed in the church at 10:00 am Visitation will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, August 31, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The family will be at the residence.
