Born in Anderson County, SC on August 16, 1925, Mrs. Hanley was a daughter of the late William Luther Greer and Margaret 'Maggie' Moore Greer. She was a great-great granddaughter of David Greer, Sr., who was a pioneer settler of Honea Path, SC. She was retired from textiles and was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include her son, Tommy L. 'Tom' Hanley and his wife, Debbie of Anderson, SC; daughter, Lynda Hanley Norris and her husband Daniel of Iva, SC; six grandchildren, Leah Hanley, Lydia Scarborough, Kathleen Hanley, Andrew Hanley, Greg Simmons and Brian Simmons; three step-grandchildren, Adam Moore, Melanie Beddingfield and Joy Simmons; and 14 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers, James and John Greer; sisters, Ethel Greer, Annie Greer, Alice Gambrell, Helen Vaughn, Emma McClellan and Mary Owens; two grandsons, Matthew Hanley and Tony Simmons.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sam Duncan and Mr. Deryl Graham. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, Belton, SC.
