FRANCES JONES BRYANT Frances Ozmint Jones Bryant, age 85, of 201 Park Drive, Iva, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born on March 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hoyt Ozmint and the late Mittie Rice Ozmint. Frances was twice married, first to the late S. L. Jones, Jr., and currently to William "Bill" C. Bryant of the home. She was a former employee of Anderson School District Three where she retired as a bus driver. She was a full time mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, roles from which she never retired, and which brought much joy to her life. She enjoyed music and crafts and was a great contributor to the annual Christmas Bazaar at her church, Bethel United Methodist Church in Iva. In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by her daughters Jackie Jones Jumper and her husband, Marshall, of Lexington, SC, and Anissa Jones Stark of Charleston; sons, Samuel "Sam" L. Jones, III, and his wife, Mellie, of Starr, and Joseph "Joey" D. Jones of Iva; a sister, Imogene Ozmint Terry and her husband, Amos, of Iva; and brothers, William T. Ozmint and his wife, Martha, of Atlanta, and J. Edward Ozmint and his wife, Pat, of Greenville; three grandchildren, Sally, Dylan, and Erica; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Axel, Lexi, and Ella. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Jones Bryant will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Iva, with Rev. Joe Durham and Rev. Brenda Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Sam and Mellie Jones, 513 Wesley Court, Starr, and will receive friends at the Bethel United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, PO Box 535, Iva, SC 29655, or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
