KITCHINGSEPTEMBER 3, 1911 - JULY 8, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Mrs. Frances Lorraine Jolley Kitching, age 97, of 2010 College Avenue, and widow of Louis Arnold Kitching passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at her home.Born in Anderson, SC on September 3, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Dock C. Jolley and Cannie A. Merrill Jolley. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and completed extensive graduate work at Clemson University. She taught in School District 5 for over forty years. She was also an instructor with SCETV.Mrs. Kitching was a lifelong member of Orrville Baptist Church, where she was Director of Youth for fifty plus years. She was a Worthy Matron in the Order of The Eastern Star. As an accomplished pianist, she played for many functions at Orrville, The Eastern Star, numerous weddings, revivals, and funerals.In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy L. Kitching; two brothers: George C. Jolley and wife, Mary, and Joseph D. Jolley; a nephew, Douglas Jolley; and a brother-in-law, William Simpson.She is survived by a sister, Magdalene Jane Simpson of Jacksonville, FL; a sister-in-law, Bobbie H. Jolley of Greensboro, NC; nieces: Mary Carol Jolley of Atlanta and Mary Jo Rose of New York; nephews: Neil and Steve Simpson of Jacksonville, FL; and William Jolley of Greensboro, NC.The visitation will be held from 10 am until 11:15 am on Friday, July 10, 2009, at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 11:30 am. The Reverend Dr. Wendell Bannister will conduct the service.
