Frances Christine McGinnis, age 83, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Anderson County, SC on May 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ray Fisher and the late Doris Powell Fisher. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Frances enjoyed camping and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Patsy Strickland and her husband Robert, of Anderson, SC, Charles Dooley and his wife Cheryl, of Honea Path, SC, Mike Dooley, of Anderson, SC, Kathy Dove, and her husband Furman, of Pendleton, SC, Janice Stevenson, and her husband Steve, of Anderson, SC, William Dooley, of Anderson, SC, Charlene Craft,(Chris), of Hartwell, GA, Tina Burdette, of Anderson, SC and Kim Burdette, of Pendleton, SC; two brothers, Ray Jr. Fisher, of Anderson, SC and Hurbert Fisher, of Iva, SC; five sisters, Dot Oulla, of Ware Shoals, SC, Sadie McGaha, of Honea Path, SC, Nina Maude West, Martha Hamby, and Ina McDonald, all of Greenville, SC; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Asbury McGinnis; and a brother, O.B. Fisher. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. David Blizzard and Reverend Delennon Stowe officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Kathy Dove, 107 Calhoun Avenue, Pendleton, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home, on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
