MORRIS October 29, 1920 - March 31, 2006 ANDERSON, SCMrs. Frances Evans Morris, age 85, of 300 Claudine Drive, wife of the late Joe Henry 'Tony' Morris, died Friday, March 31, 2006 in Sevierville, TN.Born in Anderson, SC on October 29, 1920, Mrs. Morris was a daughter of the late Charles Crayton Evans and Nell McMahan Evans. She was a 1937 graduate of Girls High School and a member of Orrville Baptist Church where she served as Financial Secretary for 66 years. She taught the Beginners Sunday School class for more than 65 years, a member of the choir and a member of the W.M.U. She was a member of the South Carolina Saluda Baptist Assistant Ministry Association. Survivors include sisters, Lilah Whitten and Laura Martin; sister-in-law, Mildred G. Evans, all of Anderson; a grandson, Chuck Morris of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Kevin Morris; brother, J. Grier Evans; sister, Gladys E. Watt and her husband, John C. Watt; brothers-in-law, Jerry F. Whitten and Wallace R. Martin.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Orrville Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Wendell Bannister and Rev. Buddy Fredrickson.
