Frances Eugenia Davis Morton, 92, widow of James Crayton Morton, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born May 26, 1925 in Anderson, SC, she was the last surviving member of her family. Frances was a graduate of Anderson Girls High School, class of 1943 and a longtime member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra M. Chasteen of Simpsonville, SC; son, Dana L. Morton of Anderson, SC; granddaughter, Lauren Emily Morton; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Ann Rowland; six nephews and two nieces. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 pm Saturday, March 17, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Mr. Bobby Watson officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation immediately following the chapel service at 2205 North Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
