Frances Willyne Butler Scott, age 95, passed away on December 29, 2016, at Abbeville Nursing Home. Born in Oconee, SC on June 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Jessie L. Anderson and the late Mamie Anderson. Frances worked as a weaver in textiles. She was a member of Tyson's Creek Baptist Church in Bear Creek, NC. She is survived by her sons, Roy Butler, Jr. (Brenda) and Lynn Butler (Brenda), both of Anderson, SC; daughter, Susan Stephens (Dave) of Cassville, GA; step-daughters, Fran Webster (Ben) and Phyllis Crissman (Lynn), both of Bear Creek, NC; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and eight step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Carl Scott; and her first husband Roy Butler, Sr., who passed away in 1985. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. with the Reverend Jerry Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Sunday, January 1, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of Lynn Butler, 1021 Due West Hwy., Anderson, SC.
