Frances Earline Fowler Simpson, 80, of Anderson, SC passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born September 30, 1937 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late, Rev. R. Fred Fowler, Sr. and the late Reba Allison Fowler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Parris Leville Simpson and grandson, Daniel Robert Powell. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, where she was currently the church pianist. However, Earline's career was always involved with serving the Lord. She was the church pianist at River Street Baptist Church from 1969 until 1994 for 25 years. She served as the church pianist and church secretary at Grace Memorial Baptist Church for 18 years after her tenure at River Street Baptist Church. During those same years she served as the church secretary at Central Baptist Church and Pleasant View Baptist Churches, she was involved with the Gospel Concert Ministry for over 40 years, she was active in the nursing home ministry and puppet ministry, was a key member of the Anderson Senior Citizen's Band, Director and Leader of the Joy Singers from River Street Baptist Church and in addition to all of that, she was a member of several different gospel groups over the years. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Richardson (George) of Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm - 1:30 pm Sunday, February 4, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at 2:30 pm in the chapel with Rev. Stewart Fowler and Rev. Mark Dickson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted.
