Simpson of 4205 Old Williamston Road, Belton, SC, died on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Anderson County, SC on May 27, 1930, Mrs. Simpson was a daughter of the late Walter Rhodes and Lizzie Lewis Tippens. She was a homemaker and a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by sons, Steven Simpson and his wife, Vicki of Laurens, SC and Timothy Simpson and his wife, Linda of Anderson, SC; daughters, Vickie Phillips and her husband Michael of Pelzer, SC, Laura Daws and her husband, Dr. Anthony Daws of Hartwell, GA and Ledina Roberts of Pelzer, SC; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.A brother, James Rhodes and a sister, Betty Rhodes Ramsey preceded her in death.A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Charles D. Strickland officiating.
