FRANCES KEATON TODD May 9, 1923 - January 6, 2013 Mrs. Frances Keaton Todd, age 89, of Anderson, entered her Heavenly home on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin R. Keaton and the late Sadie Kay Keaton. For 22 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Thomas Banks "Tib" Todd until his death in 1983. Mrs. Todd was a graduate of Anderson's Girl's High School and later attended cosmetology school. For a period of 32 years, Mrs. Todd was the Lady Attendant at The McDougald Funeral Home. In this position she served faithfully and touched the lives of many people. Frances was one of the co-founders of Williford Volunteer Fire Department. She was a member of Roberts Presbyterian Church where she held the office of Elder, and where she taught the Kindergarten Sunday School Class for a number of years. She was a member of the Women of the Church organization where she served as Secretary of the Pearl McLees Circle. Those left to carry on Mrs. Frances Todd's legacy include a son, Thomas Edwin "Tommy" Todd and his wife, Karen of Anderson; a daughter, Patricia Todd Merck and her husband, Gary, of Wilmington, NC; a brother, James Robert "Bob" Keaton and wife, Edna, of Anderson; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Keaton of Anderson, and Eula Beasley and husband, Floyd, of Donalds, SC; 2 grandsons, Thomas Dean Todd and Timothy Merk Todd, both of Anderson; a number of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband, "Tib", Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenneth L. and Andrew Keys Keaton, and a sister, Lydia Keaton. A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Todd will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 2 PM, at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. Interment will follow in the Roberts Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
