Francis X. Harper, Sr., age 71, of Belton, SC, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Richard M. Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home.

Born March 13, 1952, in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late George Harper and Catherine Lamattina Harper. He was married to Marian Catherine Doyle Harper until her death in 2018. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Harper; and 4 siblings.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Myles C. Fox. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a past president of the Men's Club and was famous for hosting his spaghetti dinners. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed his "doo-wop" music. Frank was an all-around happy man who had a great sense of humor and was always making jokes. He will be greatly missed. Go Yankees!

He is survived by his son, Frank Harper, Jr. (Nicole); daughter, Jackie Mosley (Trevor); brother, Joseph Harper; five grandchildren, Frankie, Ethan, Annabelle, Mac, and Myles; sister-in-law, Patricia Harper; and nephew, Brian Harper.

The funeral mass will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Father James Dubrouillet as celebrant. A committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Deacon John DeWolfe officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, 1200 Cornelia Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

The family will be at the home of his son, Frank Harper, Jr.
