Franklin William Heintzelman, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Lehighton, PA on March 8, 1922, he was the son of the late Norton Benjamin Heintzelman and the late Laura Wehr Heintzelman. He learned to fly and received his pilot's license at the age of 15. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Airforce during World War II. Frank was an engineer with IBM and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Betty Heintzelman; and two daughters, Carol Heintzelman and Jill Passalacqua, both of Oregon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Kim Heintzelman; and a daughter, April LeBlanc. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers.
