Frank Ashmore Hinton, 93, of Six Mile, SC passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
Born October 10, 1924 in Dacusville, SC, he was a son of the late Franklin Vernon and Ethel Brown Hinton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Homer Hinton and a daughter-in-law, Gail Rowland Hinton. He was a graduate of North Greenville University and Furman University. Frank served his country in the United States Navy in WWII and was a member of Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church. He was a retired supervisor of the chemistry lab at Sangamo Weston, Inc.
Frank is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 70 years, Mary Evelyn Mauldin Hinton; son, Stan Hinton, daughters, Lynn Cole (Mike) and Anne Willimon (Jeff); grandchildren, Jake Willimon and Sennah Honea and great-grandchild, Matt Honea.
The memorial service will be at 10:30 am Monday, August 13, 2018 at Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church, 185 Ridgeland Dr, Six Mile, SC with Rev. Tim Friar officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
There will be a private family burial at a later date.
