Born in Lavonia, GA, he was the son of the late Fred Wesley Baugus and the late Maggie Mae Crowder Baugus. Mr. Baugus served in the United States Army during WW II; he was retired from Jackson Mill, after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Iva ARP Church, where he also served as a deacon. He is survived by his wife of the home, and a daughter; Jeanie Baugus of Iva; one brother, Eddie Polo Baugus of Citrus Springs, FL; two grandchildren, Suzanne Fleming-Lowe and her husband, James, Russell Fleming and his wife Tabitha; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Chance Fleming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Elaine Baugus. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with the Reverend Steve Hardy officiating. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm before the service.
