Frankie Edith Burden Fowler, age 82, of Summit Place, formerly of 206 Fretwell Drive, passed away at AnMed Health Medical Center on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Born in Anderson on May 16, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Burden and the late Nancy Lula Mae Jones Burden. For sixty-three years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Aubrey Lee Fowler who died in 2015. Mrs. Fowler was a spinner at several textile mills around Anderson, and was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Fowler Newman and her husband, Robbie, of Camden, SC; a brother, Tommy Burden and his wife, Lula Belle, of Hartwell, GA; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Aubrey, Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Burden and three sisters, Beatrice McDaniel, Ella Mae Spears, and Betty Lou Wooten. A graveside service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Frankie Fowler will be held at New Silver Brook Cemetery on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Brent Lollis and Mr. Harry Osborne officiating.
