Gilreath, age 75, of 200 Still Hopes Drive, West Columbia, SC and formerly of Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community in West Columbia, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on September 16, 1930, Mrs. Gilreath was the wife of the late James Edward Gilreath, Jr., and the daughter of the late Frank Thompson and Pauline Morris Thompson. She was a former floral designer with Heaven Sent Designs. For over ten years, during her husband's military service, she volunteered as a Gray Lady. She was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church and attended Orrville Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, James Barry Gilreath of Denver CO; Tony Gilreath of Lancaster, SC, Troy Gilreath of Anderson, SC and a daughter, Debbie Gilreath of Lexington, SC; a sister, Nellie Ruth Sentell of Anderson, SC; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen L. Gilreath; sisters, Melba Elgin and Willie B. Wilson.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Wendell Bannister. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her son, Troy Gilreath, 1210 Gilreath Road, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
