The McDougald Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 2211 North Main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621 864-224-4343 OBITUARY: FRANKLIN P.SHAW DECEMBER 9, 1940 - NOVEMBER 16, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Franklin Pruitt Shaw, age 71, of 3859 Centerville Road, husband of Susan McCullough Shaw, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at AnMed Medical Health Center. Born in Townville, SC he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Shaw and the late Carrie Cathleen Roberts Shaw. He spent his career in textiles, but his passion and enjoyment was his horses. He reached his goal by establishing Shaw's Big Oak Farm in 1989 which he operated until his death. He was proud member of the Civil Air Patrol, American Quarter Horse Association and the Saddlebred Association. He was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Susan McCullough Shaw; sons, Pruitt "Duane" Shaw and his wife, Wanda, Brian Keith Shaw; daughter, DeAnna Knipple; four grandchildren; Felicia Shaw Christian, Brittany Taylor Shaw, Brian Keith Shaw, II, and Danielle Knipple; three great grandchildren, Cali, Caleb, Morgan; brothers, Thomas G. Shaw and his wife, Annette, Harry "Dennis" Shaw and his wife, Gail; sisters, Patricia Azalee Wells and her husband, Jimmy of Anderson, SC, Rosa Althea Wells, and her husband, Donnie of Anderson, SC, Cynthia Gail Strickland and her husband, Larry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold James:"Mac" Shaw. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 am, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with the Reverend Manley Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will at their respective homes and will be receiving friends on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at The McDougald Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
