FRED B. GETSINGER BELTON, SC Fred Blakely Getsinger, age 87, of Belton, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, on September 26, 1926, he was the son of the late Amiel Getsinger and the late Lucia Elgin Getsinger. He worked at the Goodman Conveyer Company for many years. Fred was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church, formerly the Triangle Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Virgie Lollis Getsinger; a daughter, Darlene Hamby and her husband Tommy, of Abbeville, SC; two grandchildren, Matthew Littlefield and Samantha Getsinger; ten great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bettie Sue Fisher and Helen Hamby, both of Belton, SC, Mary Alice Brock, of Honea Path, SC and Doris Findley, of Anderson, SC In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four children, Sandra Keown, Ronnie "Rocky" Getsinger, Pamela Gail Getsinger, Freddie Dale Getsinger; one sister; and eight brothers. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Busha and Reverend Bob Burris officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
